School Bus

Until boarding the bus, responsibility for the safety of the students lies with the parents.
Kindergarten, preschool, and 1st and 2nd grade children may only get off the bus if they are received by a responsible person. If the child is not picked up from the bus at the specified time, they will be taken back to school and must be collected there.
In the morning, the student must wait for the bus 5 minutes before the specified pick-up time. If no one is at the stop at the given time, the bus will continue its route.
For the return trip, students using the bus must be present at the specified departure time. If the student is not on time, the bus will leave. In such cases, the parents must personally arrange to pick up their child.
New bus riders can only be accepted if there are free seats available on the school buses.
Students whose behavior on the school bus repeatedly causes complaints may be excluded from transportation. Transportation fees will not be refunded.
If a student wishes to take a different bus on an exceptional basis, this is possible if a written permission from the parents is provided and if there is enough space on the desired bus. For this purpose, the notification form must be completed and submitted either to the bus driver or to Sr. Helena no later than the second break of the respective day.
A student may invite up to 3 other students to go home with them. If more than 3 students are invited, Sr. Helena must be informed the day before. Transportation will only be provided if there are free seats available on the relevant bus.
Students may not use the buses without timely payment of the bus fees.
Refunds for unused bus services will be granted according to the regulations for bus fees.
In the event of a change of address, Sr. Helena must be informed at least one week before the move (form: Change of Address Form).
Complaints or inquiries must also be addressed to Sr. Helena.
All bus routes are reorganized at the beginning of the school year based on logistical considerations. The school determines the routes each year and decides which student travels on which bus.
Once the designated bus routes have passed an initial adjustment period, they will no longer be changed. Due to increasing traffic, certain routes may be shortened or reorganized at short notice.
For security reasons, it is not possible for parents to ride on the school bus.

INSURANCE

For the safety of your children the school has arranged an insurance policy with “Allianz”. The policy covers the time from the child’s departure to his return home. Accidental death, 1 Accidental permanent total + partial disablement. 2 3. Accidental temporary disablement (0.5% of sum insured weekly) with maximum period of 52 weeks. 4.
