Born on October 12, 1963, in Cairo, Egypt.
1967 – 1981 Attended the German School of the Borromaean Sisters in Alexandria (DSB Alexandria), graduating with the Egyptian Secondary School Certificate (Thanaweya Amma).
1981 – 1986 Studied Pharmacy in Alexandria.
1986 – 1987 Worked as a pharmacist at the University Hospital following the completion of her pharmacy studies.
1987 – 1991 Parental leave.
1991 – 2009 Worked at the Goethe-Institut Alexandria in various positions, serving as Head of Language Programs from late 1998 until 2009.
2010 – 2011 Educational Expert within the Schools: Partners for the Future (PASCH) initiative in Erbil, Iraq, with responsibility for Northern Iraq and Jordan.
Mid-2011 – August 2015 Head of Educational Cooperation German at the Goethe-Institute in Cairo.
